St. Mark--St. Luke

Stand Up Against Poverty is an International Event sponsored each year in October. It is in connection with the UN Millennial goals to end international poverty by helping all of us to be more aware of how we can help each other and our neighbors. If you are not familiar with the UN Millennial goals, please check out various sites. On our page here are some pictures from our second annual Stand Up Against Poverty which was held on the weekend of Oct 24 and 25.
There was story telling, SERV sales which sell fair trade items to help workers in third world countries, followed by a musical concert, a gig, Instead of a coffee house, we provided cider, so we had an intimate cider house music and awareness of resources.

Jan and story telling.
